A forty-year veteran of the music industry, Carl Corcoran has worked in song writing, studio production, radio production, live performance, music publishing, festival direction, community education and community outreach. His early experience as a singer songwriter under the pseudonym of RMI Award winner Jamie Stone, recording three original albums for EMI, was the beginning of what has been as exciting career in the music/entertainment industry which brought him to America and back.

Through his work as a broadcaster with RTE, as a former Director of BLAS Summer School at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick (where he was awarded an MA in Community Music), and as a music practitioner (including two decades in the USA in a variety of roles) he has spent the last 18 years cultivating the arts community in Ireland - supporting new talent in many different genres, working tirelessly to provide a platform for musicians. His almost ten year tenure as Presenter/compiler/curator of the highly acclaimed Blue of the Night on RTE lyric fm, has cemented his position in the arts/music community and further committed him to the advancement of the arts, the accessibility of such to the public and the support for creative artists.
